Drop a PostgreSQL Node
A clear, step-by-step guide that details the process of dropping a PostgreSQL node from your cluster. This overview focuses on executing the essential commands to safely decommission and permanently remove a node, ensuring your cluster remains optimized and secure—all without delving into advanced deletion configurations or long-term maintenance tasks.
Here's the nodes inventory—your comprehensive list of all nodes for this cluster and other PostgreSQL clusters.

Identify the primary node, your central hub, alongside a standby node ready for operations.

To delete a node, simply drag the selected node onto the bin icon to initiate the removal process.

Next, type "drop me" to confirm your intent and continue.

Instantly, a REST API command is generated—your key to automating future node deletion operations with your DEVOPS tool.

When everything is set, press Submit to start the drop process.

You'll receive a status update indicating that the drop process has begun, followed by confirmation that the node was dropped successfully.
